Come Celebrate Ray's Retirement!
And dine at Valente's Italian Restaurant one last time.
Friends,
After a distinguished 44-year career, Ray Valente Sr., has decided to finally park his El Camino in front of his own home, instead of outside the drive-up window at Valente's Italian Restaurant. Ray, now 83, has chosen to take some time off, enjoy life, and retire....a much deserved reward for his more than four decades of dedication to customer service. The family has decided to close and sell the restaurant and real estate Ray has owned since 1964. With both son’s having full time careers, they have been able to devote only part-time energies to the restaurant. Ray, in his good natured self, explained that the announcement will now allow employees to find jobs before the holidays. As loyal customers of Valente's Italian Restaurant, we wanted to take this opportunity to inform each of you that along with Ray's retirement, the restaurant will be closing its' doors for the final time on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 13, 2008.
Under Ray's leadership, Valente's has grown to become a landmark in the Denver area spanning several generations. The cuisine and the ambiance of Valente's has become one of the most popular Italian restaurants in the region, and has become a traditional favorite for families and friends to gather. This is merely a courtesy reminder to encourage each of you to take one final opportunity and journey to the corner of 38th Ave. and Reed St. Please come by and join us, as we celebrate the remarkable career of Ray Sr., as he hosts some of Valente's final meals with those of us who are family, and those of you, who've become part of Valente's family.
See you soon!
